Your UINs

A UIN (« identifiant unique » or IDU in French) is the registration number of a producer in ADEME’s register, one per EPR category. None is published yet for your company: each one comes after the PRO membership of its category.

I have received my UIN

PROs often send the UIN by e-mail before the register publishes it. Enter it here: we show it as “entered by you” until the next daily reading of the register confirms it.

Format observed in the register: FR, six digits, an underscore, the two-digit category code, four characters. Example: FR123456_01ABCD.

What happens when a UIN is published

  1. We tell you by e-mail and add it to this page with its date.
  2. Your terms of sale. Article R. 541-173 of the French Environmental Code requires every producer to state its UIN in its general terms of sale or, if it has none, in any other contractual document given to the buyer (checked on 1 November 2026). The text to paste appears here, one line per EPR category, with a copy button.
  3. Amazon. We upload the UIN to Amazon for you, as set out in your mandate. French law makes a marketplace liable for the EPR obligations of its sellers unless it holds proof that they have complied; holding a UIN “is deemed to establish” that compliance (Article L. 541-10-9 of the French Environmental Code, checked on 1 November 2026). Amazon decides when to restore the listing.
