The steps

1. Register on Ecomaison’s Espace-services
Create the account in your company’s name on Ecomaison’s online services area.

2. Enter your company details and choose Furniture
Choose the EPR category « Éléments d’ameublement ». Each category is a separate contract.

3. Sign with the code received by text message
The signatory gives a name, an e-mail address and a mobile number; the signing code arrives by text message.

4. Pay the €50 excl. VAT membership fee within 5 working days
Without payment within 5 working days, the contract is deemed void. The UIN and the certificate are released once the fee is paid.

5. Wait for the UIN
Ecomaison passes your details to ADEME, whose register issues the UIN. Ecomaison announces it “within a few days” on one page and “in 48h” on its online sellers page.

Documents to have at hand
- Bank details (RIB) at your first declaration session; direct debit is optional (art. 5.3.6).
- Any earlier UIN, or proof of membership of another scheme, if you have one. Without it, see the late membership rule below (art. 4.2).

Points to watch
- Late membership: without an earlier UIN or proof of another scheme, Ecomaison asks for a retroactive declaration of the 3 previous calendar years and of the current year, within 21 calendar days. (Ecomaison general conditions, January 2026, art. 4.2)
- Furniture: the annual (derogatory) regime is open if your yearly turnover in the category is under €2,000,000; otherwise declarations are quarterly. (Ecomaison particular conditions, Furniture, 2026, art. 3)
- A rejected bank payment can lead to termination of the contract and withdrawal of the UIN. (Ecomaison general conditions, January 2026, art. 5.3.7)
