EPR mandate

Appoint your EPR authorised representative in France

For companies established outside France that sell products covered by French extended producer responsibility (EPR). In 8 steps, you describe your company and what you sell, choose your compliance schemes, then sign the mandate. The price is known before you sign; an expert reviews what commits you.

The route starts with your company: country, registration number, VAT or tax number, and how you sell in France. Your answers tell you straight away whether French law requires you to appoint a representative.

Nothing is saved until you confirm your company details. Your company is established in France? Mise en règle avec votre SIREN (in French).

  • The price is known in advance. Calculated on the public price list before you sign; compliance scheme fees are stated separately.
  • An expert reviews what commits you. Your company, your scope, your choice of schemes, each membership before it goes out.
  • Nothing goes out without you. No document signed without being read, no membership before payment; everything can be downloaded, everything can be withdrawn.

Do I need a representative in France?

A producer of EPR products that is not established in France appoints, by written mandate, a representative established in France (Article L. 541-10-9-1 of the French Environmental Code, in force since 10 July 2026). The obligation is deemed met for products whose EPR compliance a marketplace established in France already ensures. Step 1 applies the decision tree of our check to your answers; when the answer depends on your contracts, you can carry on and the expert reviews your situation before anything commits you.

  • Your company’s registration number in its home register, and its EU VAT number or, failing that, its tax number.
  • The list of your products sold in France, with quantities over 12 months. A template is provided at step 2.
  • The mobile phone and identity document of the legal representative who signs. A recent extract from your home register is requested at the enhanced check.
How much does it cost?

Who will review my file?

An EPR expert is assigned to your file. Their name and background are shown when the file is assigned to them; until then, this route talks about a role, not a person.

Each of their approvals carries their name, the date and the time. The assistant (AI) prepares and explains; it validates nothing and never presents itself as a person.
